FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – June 29th, 2026

ABUJA, Nigeria — TracTrac Mechanization Service Limited (TracTrac), a Nigerian-led agricultural technology company, is redefining access to mechanized farming for smallholder farmers across the country. To date, the company has reached over 500,000 farmers, supported a network of more than 6,000 Mechanization Service Providers (MSPs), and facilitated the deployment of 800 tractors across multiple states, building one of Nigeria's most extensive mechanization networks.

Through technology, strategic financing, and on-the-ground partnerships, TracTrac connects farmers, tractor owners, and Mechanization Service Providers (MSPs) to improve access to mechanization services.

Key to this model is TracTrac Plus, the company's flagship digital platform, which connects farmers directly with MSPs in real time while supporting asset tracking, farm mapping, and demand aggregation. Since launch, the platform has recorded more than 5,000 app installs and facilitated over 2,000 mechanization service engagements.

This impact is driven by TracTrac's four core pillars: Accessibility, Availability, Affordability, and Capacity, ensuring mechanization services reach farmers when, where, and how they need them.

"At TracTrac, we believe tractors should be within reach of every farmer, not a privilege for a few. Through technology, policy engagement, financial inclusion, and strong partnerships, we're building an ecosystem that not only delivers services but creates lasting capacity for Nigeria's agricultural sector." — Godson Ohuruogu, CEO, TracTrac MSL.

Engaging Policy for a Stronger Mechanization Ecosystem

TracTrac's ambitions extend beyond service delivery. The company is a partner in the development of Nigeria's draft National Agricultural Mechanization Policy (NAMP), a landmark framework charting a five-year course for the sector built on sustainability, inclusivity, and innovation. NAMP addresses critical priorities, including sustainable land development, promotion of appropriate technologies, private-sector investment, robust financing mechanisms, and human capital development, while embracing Climate-Smart and Digital Agriculture to position Nigeria's mechanization drive as both resilient and future-proof.

TracTrac's role in this process reflects its broader commitment to engaging the policy environment, not merely operating within it. Alongside its work on NAMP, the company continues to engage with key government agencies, including the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (FMAFS), the National Centre for Agricultural Mechanization (NCAM), and private sector stakeholders, to advocate for frameworks that support investment, local manufacturing, and broader farmer access to mechanization services.

Launching YPiM: A New Generation of Mechanization Leaders

Young People in Mechanization (YPiM) is Nigeria's first youth-focused mechanization movement and a flagship initiative powered by TracTrac MSL. Designed to address the sector's shortage of technical skills and low youth participation, the initiative equips young Nigerians aged 18 to 35 with practical skills, mentorship, and access to opportunities in mechanization, entrepreneurship, innovation, leadership, and advocacy, helping them build sustainable livelihoods while contributing to agricultural transformation and food security.

"Young people should not just observe the future of agriculture. They should lead it." — Godson Ohuruogu, CEO, TracTrac MSL.

That invitation is now open. Young Nigerians aged 18 to 35 can register today and take their place in the movement at www.ypim.africa
